Manifesto

Some have killed and pillaged but the struggle never ends
Reigned by the supreme, feeling lost in this homeland
Belittle and castigate one another causing pain
What's the point of all this? Aren't our blood all the same?
I guess not; now violent is the culture of the world
So much rage, enslavement happens to all boys and girls
Aggression, affection, or are we all playing dumb?
Can't blame this commotion on the riches or the slum
What's the ultimate salvation? Another round of reformation?
Bloodbath, a cold bath, in the name of such religion?
See this is not about principles, it's all fanaticism
Superstitious beliefs, self-glorification
Origins and doctrines mystified, misinterpreted
The essence of the truth they've all eradicated
I was brought to this world to understand and seek the truth
But so far when I see you, you were aching these youth
Needed them to stay confused, make sure they get used
To the way they get bruised, the way you abused the accused
Now get this, you're not the God or boss of us
You’re probably just another parasite, even worse, just a puss
Dying by the minute when the rest of us diminish
How long more can you fight this when the world comes to a finish?
I fear for your mentality, the one that caused brutality
Enabler of calamity, still grooming all your prodigy
My dear, your ruling majesty, guess you've not seen the sanity
You've been riding so high in life, your middle name is vanity
The Holy Ghost won't cover you, but see those moths, they'll hover you
And if the orphans could, they would cloud your sky with choppers too
Now tell them what the monarchs knew, the evilness you can't unscrew
The inmates, the elderlies, they'd even crack a tooth or two
To see that you keep your words, your manifesto, not your turd
To see that you really care for those you once left unheard
Preachers - they preach, there's the gap and there's the bridge
Now let your actions speak, your promises - you keep

Beholden, Need Not

I don't want to own you
A jaywalker, and if you're the fence, I just want to walk pass you
See you every day for a little while as I walk down the street
Sweeping you off my feet maybe; with my cuffs, if you're the ground that is
Maybe water you in the morning on my way to work if you're the flowerbed

I don't want to hang on to you
A bird, and you're a tree, I just want to drop by and perch for a while when it's too hot
Or when it rains, you'll be my shelter
Or maybe I'll lay down on your dried leaves on the ground if I'm being me
I'll pick a book and have a read

I don't want to cling to you
But if I'm a photographer I wouldn't mind a suspicious dollar bill to take your photos
Capturing your smile, your goofy self and your gaze
Even if you feel uncomfortable, not being yourself in the morning, I'll make you pose for fun
And bribe you for breakfast!

I won't try to possess you, convince you
But I'll fight you, make you say what you want to say
Make you say what you mean and mean what you say
I'll cut you till you bleed to make you feel alive
Make you realise that I'll be there if you need me around

Because we met to meet, met to love, met to care
Not necessarily to be with each other, be in love, be in each other's care
Because love is a mystery, love is poetic, love is an interesting phenomenon
Something that wanders in our imagination
An illumination in the darkness

And I won't have you beholden to me
Unless you want to
Unless you want me to
Unless the canvas of your life needs colour
Unless you want me around forever

Moi, Blasé

This is a true subkingdom
Where we speak up along with rhythm
Some protests, some will speak of wisdom
Some will claim they've united kingdoms
Now I feel for the ones so fearsome
Can't nobody rebuff their freedom
It's an outlet for inspired serum
Beating tastefully for your eardrums
Look I'm not talking about pilgrims
Nor I'm here to condemn such prism
Yes, I do believe in your system
If the system bars elitism
Nothing valid now for the children
And on replay is barbarism
Guns and bombs are here for some reasons
Intoxicating feudalism
I'm not bought by your symbolism
All I see is such scepticism
Towards me and liberalism
What's the deal with such narcissism?

The Liberal Runway

Some are liberated by nature
Some are liberated by force
Some are liberated by lifestyle
Some are liberated by law
Some are liberated by peers
Some are liberated by fashion
Some are liberated by emotion
And somehow that deliberately becomes a devotion
And the most vulnerable form of expression
Because cashmere is overpriced
Denims; they never die
Silk is rarified; not made for all eyes
And brands are just brands but styles can be a lifestyle
Like how Levi's is just Levi's;
Be it from the Levi's outlet or a thrift shop
So does La Senza and the likes of it, in a matter of seconds, the fabric will drop
Because some dress to impress
Some dress to express
While some dress to detest, the rest dress to undress
Be it a liberated woman or the saint of all sinners
Or a corneous man or the devil of all preachers
